Your own fiduciary · for people who know bookkeeping

Can you explain to someone else what a balance sheet is, a P&L, a VAT return, a chart of accounts?

Then you can have your own fiduciary — just you, no staff — for the people close to you: friends, family, people you know who run a business. They need a person, not a program.

Your practice exists in minutes. The first books come back the morning after the documents arrive. The four weeks are for you to learn to run it, not for us to build it.

Is this you?

What the companies you look after get

Not the once-a-year bookkeeping with four VAT returns. The daily back office of a company — the part every business needs and almost nobody offers as one service:

01

Receivables.

Invoices from the book with the Swiss QR-bill, matched to payments — who owes you, today.

02

Payables.

Supplier invoices read and booked, payments prepared for the bank, due dates under control.

03

Bank and cash.

Statements reconciled to the centime; cash registers, including personal ones, as accounts.

04

Inventory.

Catalogue, purchases, sales and stock movements, for trade.

05

Books kept every morning.

Balance sheet and profit and loss that are current today, not after the close.

06

The CFO's view.

Open positions, what is due, what has been paid, revenue and margin — the numbers you decide by.

07

Salaries and VAT.

Payslips filed and booked; the VAT return prepared from the book in the official form.

Your name on the door

Your client signs in at your address, sees your name and your colour — never ours. Type the name of your practice and look.

We produce the books every morning. You keep the client, your name and your price. You pay from income only.

Your first four weeks

1

One call, one company

We open its book together and book the year with you on the screen.

2

Your folder, your channel

Documents reach the book from a folder on your computer, without uploading.

3

Second company, same path

You add it yourself; the specialist behind you answers inside the book.

4

Your portal, your name

Your clients get their access under your name — and you invoice your client under your name.

Every Friday at 19:00

An open online session: a working book on the screen, not slides — and your questions. Write to us — we send you the link to the next session, or set up a time just for you.

Sent. We write to you with the link.

Questions people ask first

How fast can I start?

Today. The form takes two minutes, our side takes minutes, and the first company is in the book the same hour. Its books come back the next morning after the documents reach it, or the same day in a session with us. Nobody waits on us; the pace is set by how fast documents reach the book.

What does it cost?

Nothing to start, and nothing while there is no income. You pay only once your first client has paid you. How the income is shared we go through at the Friday session, on the numbers of your own first companies — not in a line on a website.

Who keeps the books of my own fiduciary?

We do, free of charge. Your fiduciary's book is the same register our share is calculated from: your invoices to clients go out of it, and it shows what has been paid. While there is no income there is nothing to keep; once there is, the book is already being kept.

Who is behind this?

Merchant's Book is a service of Arvut GmbH, Zug. The software behind it, ABM, has been in development since March 2017; Arvut GmbH was registered in 2022. The books are kept live — at the Friday session you see a working one.

Do I need my own company first?

Not to start. The first four weeks run on one company's books — a friend's, your family's, your own. Whether and in what form you set up your own firm is a decision for week four, when you know what you have; we do not give legal advice, and we point you to people who do.

How much of my time does it take?

The first call is one hour. After that, your time goes to your clients and to reviewing — not to typing: the books are produced behind you every morning. The first weeks take more than the later ones, until documents flow by themselves.

I have a job. Can I do this alongside it?

Many start that way. Whether your employment contract allows a side activity is yours to check — we cannot promise that for you.

What do you not do?

Not real time: the book is up to date every morning, not every second. Not instead of you: the signature and the decisions stay with you. Not everything on day one: tax returns and advisory stay with the professional who does them today. Not the auditor: the auditor is elected and paid by the company, not by us.

In which languages?

German, French, Italian and English — every entry and the chart of accounts in all four at once; an invoice goes out in the language of its recipient; reports open in the language of the person reading them.
